Working with Multimedia Files

If you are working on a Windows platform, Video and Image Processing
Blockset contains blocks that you can use to import and view multimedia files.
These blocks include the From Multimedia File b lock, the To Multimedia
File block, and the To Video Display block. Thes e blocks perform best on
platforms wi t h D irectX Version 9.0 or later and Windows Med ia Version 9.0 or
later. They also support code generation. If y ou generate code from a model
that contains a To Video Display block, you can view the video stream w hen
you run the executable.

Importing and Viewing Multimedia F iles
In this example, you u se the From Multimedia File block to import a video
stream into a Simulink model and the To Video Display block to view it. This
procedure a ssumes you are working on a Windows platform:
1 Create a new Simulink model, and add to it the blocks shown in the
following table.
